SkyInspect is an advanced drone-based system that enhances the safety, efficiency, and accuracy of building inspections. Unlike traditional methods that rely on scaffolding and expose workers to height-related risks, SkyInspect uses drones equipped with high-resolution cameras to capture detailed images of structural defects, including cracks and damages. It enables real-time monitoring, allowing faster decision-making and improved inspection outcomes. The system can easily access hard-to-reach areas such as rooftops and facades, ensuring comprehensive coverage without physical risk. By reducing inspection time, labour, and equipment costs, SkyInspect offers a cost-effective and reliable solution for industry stakeholders. It supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), by promoting safer, smarter, and more sustainable urban infrastructure.
