Writing is one of the main problems faced by Malaysian students and with the revolution of information technology there is a call for more advanced pedagogy in the teaching of writing. Thus, this study was carried out to examine the usefulness of Bard G in improving students’ essay writing performance. The results of the findings show that students showed favourable responses towards the use of Bard G in improving their essay writing performance. The paired T-Tests conducted show that there were significant improvements in the experimental group post-test compared to pre-test in terms of content, communicative achievement, organisation and language.
