This study was conducted to develop biochar briquettes based on bagasse as a sustainable alternative energy source. Bagasse was chosen because it is an abundant and underutilized agricultural waste. The production process involves drying, sintering under limited oxygen conditions, crushing into a fine powder and mixing with an adhesive before forming using a mold. The resulting briquettes were dried and tested in terms of combustion efficiency, flame duration and smoke production. The study findings showed that bagasse briquettes are capable of producing stable, long-lasting and more environmentally friendly combustion compared to conventional fuels. Therefore, this innovation has the potential to be an economical energy alternative and contribute to waste reduction and environmental conservation.
