Outdoor adventurers, including campers, hikers, and backpackers, constantly face unpredictable challenges in remote environments, where access to essential survival tools can mean the difference between safety and risk. Many of these individuals rely on traditional survival gear that is often bulky, difficult to carry, and easy to misplace. This is particularly problematic when it comes to crucial survival needs such as navigation, fire-starting, and food preparation. To address this issue, we observed and conducted field research at beaches, national parks, and forests over a period of seven days. Our team also brainstormed using WH-questions and consulted with our lecturer to identify the real-world challenges faced by outdoor adventurers.

Our clients included a lecturer from Labuan Matriculation College, and two students—from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and Labuan Matriculation College—ranging in age from 20 to 35. The prototype was created using Sharper 3D and took approximately one week to complete, with each session lasting 3–4 hours. We proudly introduce our product, NAVERA, a compact and multi-functional survival tool designed to meet the essential needs of adventurers in a practical and efficient manner. As a group, we hope that NAVERA can enhance outdoor safety and convenience, offering users greater confidence and preparedness in the wild.
