Skillful Thinking (ST) is an educational approach designed to enhance Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) through three primary elements: thinking strategy, habits of mind, and metacognition (Swartz, 2012). Over recent years, ST has garnered significant attention among primary school educators. 

Novice primary science teachers, in particular, require robust pedagogical content knowledge to incorporate ST elements effectively into their everyday science instruction. The integration of these ST components into science experiments and hands-on lessons can profoundly enhance young learners' comprehension of scientific concepts, fostering critical thinking at various levels. Such an approach can also stimulate school innovation projects by enabling students to apply their understanding in creative and meaningful ways.

To support this endeavor, the **ST Kiddo Kit** has been developed. This kit serves as a practical resource for educators, specifically designed to facilitate the integration of ST elements into Year 4 science curricula.
