In Malaysia, the widespread use of gas stoves in homes and food establishments continues to pose serious safety risks, with gas leakage incidents remaining high over the years and showing little improvement. Existing gas detection systems mainly rely on basic alerts and human intervention, which can be unreliable when occupants are unaware or absent. AeroSafe Smart Gas Detection and Ventilation System is proposed as a proactive solution integrating gas, temperature, and flame sensors for real time monitoring. When hazards are detected, the system provides instant alerts, activates ventilation, sends notifications, and captures images to support faster response. Developed on an Arduino based platform, AeroSafe is affordable, scalable, and supports SDG 8 by improving workplace safety and SDG 9 through innovative smart safety technology.
