Presently, the notion of a smart home is gaining in popularity. It decreases the quantity of physical exertion that is necessary. Unable to remotely control or monitor the environmental conditions of electrical appliances is the case in conventional dwellings. In contrast, this project proposes a module-based Internet of Things-based intelligent home automation system that can automate the entire residence. This module implements an infrared (IR) sensor to power household appliances, including lights, fans, outlets, and sockets. The infrared (IR) sensor will be employed with the output to activate and deactivate it. The system uses a DHT22 sensor to regulate this module’s indoor nature and humidity. The Blynk App, a mobile application, controls all aspects remotely. A remotely controlled smart home can offer several benefits, including enhanced energy efficiency and controlling all household appliances remotely or centrally and beneficial as a teaching and learning process of iot where a variety of usage are proposed.
