The issue studied is “forgotten baby syndrome” where parents forget about the children in the car who die after being left unattended. This problem has become an alarming issue which concerns the community and parents. The cases have increased dramatically in the last decade in Malaysia and involve children of all ages from infant to toddlers. To avoid this tragedy from reoccurring, our study is using micro:bit technology to design the Children Life Saver System for voice detection of the distressed cries of a child abandoned in the car. The voice detection sensor is connected to telegram app in the phone to alert all family members instantly. The system can detect the voice from a child and give a response immediately, which is efficient, safe, provides 24/7 surveillance and low cost technology. Application of Children Life Saver System will reduce the child forgotten in the car and ensures no child’s life is at risk.
