Our school students started a unique venture '3R PENCILS'. A pencil made of paper. Students started an Eco-Friendly venture which is turning discarded newspapers into environment friendly pencils. We are experiencing a rapid change in climate as a result of deforestation. Deforestation is a result of several factors including newspapers. This led students to think out of the box, they researched articles and innovative ways to utilize waste to make newspaper pencils. Over 1 lakh trees are felled every year to make pencils. The 3R (REDUCE-REUSE-RECYCLE) are the foundation of the 3R Pencil's concept, which aim to reduce environmental pollution. What do we do when our pencil becomes short? Well, 3R Pencils that we made can be used as fertilizer for grow a plant. That's the beauty of it. 3R Pencils added to soil to make it more fertile. 'From Earth to Earth'.
