The Stream Light Village model demonstrates how water energy can be converted into electricity to produce light. This project represents a simple and sustainable method that villages can use to generate small amounts of electricity from natural water sources such as rivers or streams. In this model, flowing water rotates a small water wheel. The movement of the water wheel turns a DC motor that acts as a generator. When the motor rotates, mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy, which is used to light an LED bulb. The purpose of this model is to show the basic principle of hydropower generation and the importance of renewable energy. Hydropower is a clean and environmentally friendly energy source because it does not produce pollution. This project also helps students understand energy transformation from water energy to electrical energy in a simple and practical way.
