YIN1014: WATER SUPPLY MANAGEMENT

NUR JUNESYA BINTI MOHD SHAH SMK DATUK PANGLIMA ABDULLAH

This project investigates the relationship between water pressure and height in high-rise apartments based on the principle P=ρghP = \rho g h. It addresses the common issue of slower water flow experienced on higher floors. A simple model using a water tank and tubing was developed to simulate different floor levels. The flow rate at various heights was measured and analysed. Results show that water pressure decreases as height increases, causing weaker flow. To overcome this problem, a mini booster system is proposed. This project demonstrates how physics principles can be applied to real-life situations and offers practical solutions for improving water distribution in buildings.
