This innovation introduces the CEFR-Aligned SEER AI (CASA) Essay Report, an automated essay assessment application designed to streamline and enhance the evaluation and revision process for both educators and students. The development of this application follows the SEER Framework developed by the researcher, which focuses on providing educational services that are Supportive, Effective, Ethical and Relevant to its users. CASA addresses the limitations of traditional essay assessment methods by providing rapid, objective, and consistent feedback aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The application analyses uploaded essays, identifying grammatical errors and providing a CEFR band score report. Crucially, CASA goes beyond simple evaluation by generating a revised version of the essay, incorporating suggested improvements. Furthermore, it offers a detailed vocabulary analysis of the revised essay, including part-of-speech tagging and definitions, facilitating vocabulary acquisition and enriching the learning experience. This multi-faceted approach empowers students with personalized insights for targeted improvement on their essay writing skills and frees educators from time-consuming manual grading, allowing them to focus on teaching.
