ChronoSavages Smart Traffic Light System

Traffic congestion remains a major challenge in growing cities, causing wasted time, increased fuel consumption, and higher carbon emissions. ChronoSavages presents a Smart Traffic Light System designed to improve traffic efficiency through real-time vehicle detection and adaptive signal control. Unlike traditional fixed-timer traffic lights, this system uses ultrasonic sensors and a microcontroller to monitor traffic density in each lane and automatically adjust signal timing based on current road conditions.

The prototype demonstrates how dynamic signal prioritization can reduce unnecessary waiting time, ease congestion during peak hours, and improve road safety. By allocating longer green lights to lanes with heavier traffic and shorter cycles to less busy lanes, the system optimizes traffic flow and minimizes idle vehicle emissions. This project highlights how affordable and scalable technology can be applied to support smarter, greener, and more efficient urban transportation.

ChronoSavages aims to showcase the potential of intelligent traffic systems as a step toward future smart cities where technology enhances everyday mobility and sustainability.
