AI-LOCK is an intelligent security system designed to mitigate theft in educational institutions and shared environments. Conventional locking mechanisms are frequently unreliable due to issues such as lost keys, unauthorized duplication, and insufficient access control.
This project utilizes an ESP-32 CAM equipped with facial recognition technology to restrict locker access to authorized personnel exclusively. Upon detection of a registered face, the system verifies the individual's identity and subsequently activates a servo motor to disengage the lock. The system is characterized by its affordability, rapid operation, and contactless functionality, rendering it suitable for deployment in educational institutions, hostels, and small-scale facilities. Testing results indicate high accuracy and a swift response time.
AI-LOCK also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by promoting innovation and enhancing community safety. In conclusion, this project demonstrates the application of artificial intelligence to create a smarter and more secure environment.
