In Malaysia, 45 percent of the total composition of solid waste that is thrown away every day consists of food waste (Tan Su Lin, 2022). We make use of the waste materials which are watermelon rinds (waste from the canteen) and kekabu pillows that are no longer used in our school. This is also one of the alternatives to produce plant growth promoters without costs and by-products. It also contains good bacteria that are useful in nourishing the soil, controlling strong and internal diseases. By making your own compost, it turns out that you can reduce the problem of garbage disposal as well as save the cost of buying chemical fertilizers. The manufacture of L-KekabooMelon Fertilizer is only equipped with containers to store compost without using expensive equipment. Kekabu is used in this compost because it is organic and chemical free. This fiber-based organic compost is resistant to insect and fungal attacks because it absorbs moisture (for suitable plants).
