The use of ABM teaching aids and tools has contributed greatly to improving student understanding and the quality of Teaching and Learning (T&L) among students and educators. However, students have problems understanding the basic concepts of a subject being taught. Educators often only explain theories without showing the students the real thing. Based on this statement, a study was conducted to examine the problem of students' weaknesses in understanding the basic concepts of Building Automation Systems (BAS), magnetic control and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming. A Teaching and Learning Kit for Building Automation Systems (BAS) and PLC magnetic control was developed as a teaching tool and material to help students understand in depth the control of building automation systems and PLC. The main purpose of this kit was to improve students' understanding of the basic concepts of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and PLC programming which are student weaknesses that can be identified through the needs study that has been conducted. Two important aspects that are implemented in the kit are conceptual knowledge (Conceptual Knowledge) which is theoretical knowledge and experience through experience (Experiential Learning) which is learning through experience. The development phase of this product is based on the ADDIE design model namely “analysis”, “design”, “development”, “implementation” and “evaluation”. Worksheets for laboratory experiments have also been produced to make it easier for students to understand Building Automation Systems (BAS) and also PLC programming. This Teaching Kit has been validated by experts regarding usability, functionality and design for the purposes of the teaching and learning process.
