Empire Usahaniaga is a board game designed to cultivate entrepreneurial thinking, financial literacy, and strategic decision-making among school students through an engaging and educational gameplay experience. Inspired by familiar mechanics from classic board games such as Monopoly, Empire Usahaniaga has been carefully localized and reimagined with a Malaysian context to make the learning process more relatable and meaningful. In this game, players assume the roles of young entrepreneurs competing to build their business empires by making smart investments, managing expenses, saving profits, and overcoming unexpected business challenges. Key concepts such as supply and demand, opportunity cost, capital growth, and risk management are embedded within the game’s mechanics. A special feature of Empire Usahaniaga is the inclusion of real-life entrepreneurial scenarios based on local industries and small businesses, promoting relevance to students' surroundings and national economic narratives. The most important educational element of Empire Usahaniaga is its focus on teaching primary school students the fundamentals of financial literacy, specifically the concepts of money inflow (duit masuk) and money outflow (duit keluar). These foundational ideas are introduced in a simple, relatable way that helps children understand how money is earned, spent, and saved in everyday life. To reinforce these concepts, the game includes a set of question-and-answer draw cards that test players' understanding of financial principles during gameplay, ensuring that learning is actively integrated into every round. The implementation of Empire Usahaniaga also brings broader educational benefits, including promoting entrepreneurial attitudes, enhancing social interaction, and supporting the development of 21st-century skills. With its combination of strategic play, real-life scenarios, and financial understanding, this board game transforms fun into a purposeful learning experience that prepares students to be more financially responsible and business-minded from an early age.
