Ahmad Ghifary Mahdi Bin Mohd Allan Hanz Labuan International School

Learning the recorder poses challenges for beginners, particularly in reading music notation and mastering finger placement, often resulting in low engagement and motivation. This study introduces RecoVirtuoso, an interactive, gamified learning tool designed to enhance foundational recorder skills through visual-audio integration, real-time feedback, and step-by-step tasks. Developed using Scratch coding and supplemented by both online and offline activities, the intervention was tested among beginner-level learners. Findings indicate improved motivation, increased accuracy in note recognition, and better finger coordination. The study demonstrates that gamified learning environments can significantly improve the effectiveness and enjoyment of early music education for young learners.
