ANIS ADLINA BINTI ZAKARIA KOLEJ VOKASIONAL BACHOK
The modern fashion industry, driven by fast fashion culture, has led to an increase in the disposal of used clothing. Discarded garments that end up in landfills or are incinerated pollute the environment due to chemicals and synthetic fibers that are hard to decompose. As an effort to reduce textile waste, I chose to recycle second-hand clothing and create new, unique designs. The work process involved research, idea development, 2D and 3D designs, final sketching, pattern making, cutting, sewing, and surface embellishment. The result was a casual wear outfit inspired by the Blue Button Porpita, contributing to environmental sustainability.
