Students with mild autism may struggle in communicating their ideas effectively in an inclusive classroom. Therefore, Prepositional Track Kit was developed to help mild autistic learners to learn meaningfully with their peers as well as addresses the communication challenges faced by autistic students. Utilizing a multimodal approach, the students benefit from both auditory practice by listening to audio instructions and kinesthetic (physical) practice through hands-on activities. In addition, the Prepositional Track Kit prototype was developed by using cost-effective materials - recycled card boxes, A3 felt as well as colourful and laminated papers. With the integration of The Card Talk app in the kit, it provides students with additional support as they can listen to practice speaking independently. The flashcards represent the symbol of prepositions and simple illustrations of prepositions such as "in," "on," "under," "behind," "next to," and "in front." Students get to practise prepositions by moving objects along a track based on given sentences. For example, "The pencil is in the box,". So, students get to move the pencil along the track to show its position inside the box. While doing so, students are also encouraged to scan the QR code provided if they need help with pronunciation. The Prepositional Track Kit will benefit three main stakeholders – students with disabilities, teachers who are teaching students with disabilities, and schools that offer Program Pendidikan Inklusif (PPI). Apart from that, schools will be able to produce competent students despite the disabilities they have. Most importantly, it helps to fulfill the inspirations outlined in the Malaysia Education Blueprint (2013-2025) for an increasing enrolment of special needs students in the PPI by improving the quality of the programme. We envision to reach the potential market for this innovation which is the 6,404 schools that are currently implementing PPI in Malaysia.
