JI693: GREEN TREATMENT OF OIL AND FAT IN GRAVY FOOD

ABDUL RAZIQUE MUAZ BIN ABDUL MANAF SEKOLAH RENDAH ISLAM ABIM

It is a fact that the food prepared in Malaysia is rich in gravy and contains a lot of fat and oil. Houses in rural and remote areas do not have a centralized drainage system that processes these waste materials. Usually, this gravy is thrown directly into sinks and drains which can cause soil and water pollution in rivers and the sea. The fat from this gravy will also cause clogged sink pipes. Based on this problem, a simple and cheap filter system that can be prepared by yourself can help solve the pollution problem. The water from the filtered gravy waste can be used for watering plants and also for fish farming. The materials separated from the filter and also the slurry that accumulated in the tank can be used as organic fertilizer for plants as well.
