The "FlavourLess" project aims to reduce excessive sugary drink consumption among students at Labuan International School by promoting healthier hydration habits. Over three months, the project targeted students struggling with obesity, fatigue, and poor concentration due to high sugar intake. Inspired by these health concerns, FlavourLess encouraged students to choose water over sugary beverages to improve overall well-being.
After implementing the project, six students reported a significant reduction in their sugar intake, cutting down from daily consumption to just three times a week. As a result, they experienced increased energy levels, reduced fatigue, and improved focus in class. These positive outcomes align with the project's core objectives of lowering obesity rates, minimizing health risks such as diabetes and high blood pressure, and fostering lifelong healthy habits.
The success of FlavourLess highlights its potential to create lasting change within the school community. By instilling healthier drinking habits, the project contributes to better academic performance and overall student wellness. Moving forward, FlavourLess aims to expand its reach, further refining its approach to encourage even more students to embrace a healthier lifestyle.
