YI937: AIRSIFU

AirSifu is a web-based application developed to bridge the educational gap in aviation training,
particularly for students and enthusiasts who lack access to complex and costly professional tools.
The project aims to introduce a simplified flight route visualization tool capable of simulating
weather-based flight planning in real time. Built using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Leaflet.js), and Flask
(Python), the platform displays live aircraft data and allows users to explore essential concepts such
as weather awareness and efficient routing. Early feedback from a licensed pilot and an engineering
operations manager indicates that while AirSifu is not yet ready for professional deployment, it
shows strong potential as an educational tool. It may serve as a foundation for early-stage training
for both pilots and air traffic controllers. Future development will focus on integrating real-time
weather rerouting, mobile accessibility, and compliance with aviation authority standards.
