The MQ2 Touch study was conducted to develop a gas detection device capable of performing rapid inspections, comparable to existing gas detectors. MQ2 Touch prioritizes fast but non-specific readings, making it suitable for public use in detecting gas leaks. Cost reduction is also emphasized to make the device more affordable and efficient. A total of 12 tests were conducted comprehensively before, during, and after the survey to assess any changes. The findings indicate that some shortcomings remain. However, there is significant potential for improvements, such as a digital display, longer-lasting battery life, a more advanced system, and other enhancements. In conclusion, various upgrades have been made, including the addition of audio and visual alerts, hand safety features, and a rechargeable battery. MQ2 Touch effectively detects the presence of gas in the surroundings, helping to reduce the risk of air poisoning.
