In the rapidly advancing era of information technology, home security has become a primary concern for many individuals. Smart lock systems offer an innovative solution, replacing conventional keys with sophisticated technological integration. It is common to forget keys when outside, leading to instances of forgotten keys, neglected securing of belongings, and the loss of valuable items. Therefore, this proposed project introduces a Smart Lock to address these challenges. The Smart Lock will be developed using an Arduino Nano equipped with the ATMega328 microcontroller. Arduino Nano is programmable using the Arduino IDE. In this project, an electrical door lock will be controlled, and a 1-channel 5V relay will be employed to illuminate LEDs, utilizing a battery expander supply. The Smart Lock incorporates a Key Membrane Switch Keypad for entering the programmed password stored in the Arduino Nano. The Smart Lock will automatically unlock when the user inputs the password on the Key Membrane Switch Keypad. Within the country, this project aims to enhance the security of valuable belongings while concurrently reducing the occurrence of theft. Additionally, it can contribute to users feeling safer and more at ease when outside, as they no longer need to worry about the security of their possessions during outdoor activities or while away from home.
