Fresh waves by the creative thinkers Young scientists: Narayanaah Tiyagaraajan, vaiseelan kunaseelan, sailesh mogan, Thivyan Tiyagaraajan, vinoshan mogan Abstract Reuse provides an excellent, environmentally-preferred alternative to other management methods because it reduces air, water and land pollution and limits the need for new natural resources. By reusing things, you can cut down on the amount of material that needs to be dispatched to either landfills or recycling centers. The main objective of this project is to reuse bottles and tea leaves to create a wardrobe air freshener. Introduction Tea bags are made up of plastic, as a result of which they don’t get decomposed and act as a threat to the environment. According to the Environmental Audit Committee, tea bags are a major source for polluting our water system due to the non-recyclable components. They have found that tea bags are made up of polypropylene. Due to this, tea bags cannot completely have decomposed. This makes them a bad option for the environment as it can lead to water pollution. Invention Tea leaves usually need a very long steeping time to release all nutrients in the given amount of hot water, this is because we usually steep tea for only 2-5 minutes and there is will be some nutrients left in the leaf which can be useful in our project. In this project we are using green tea and lavender. a) Green tea/ Black tea Green tea is a great odour neutralizer. It’s natural anti flam metring properties may help with neutralising odour. b) Lavender Lavender is most commonly used in aromatherapy. The fragrance from the oils /dried leaves of the lavender plant is believed to help promote calmness and wellness. Procedures The steps taken for the invention are as follows: 1. Collectusedtealeaves(Greentea&Blacktea) 2. Cleanusedtealeaves 3. Drythetealeavesundersunlight 4. Decoraterecycledbottles 5. Makeholesonthebottles 6. Mix dried green tea leaves and dried lavender flowers together 7. Trans
