YI332: 5PM

PYSTER YVONE RONY SMK DATUK PETER MOJUNTIN

The 5PM innovation (5 teaching aids for Moral Education) refers to the development of a digital Moral Education textbook enriched with QR codes for access to sign language teaching videos and animations of 18 universal values via Aniclix, created by students with hearing impairments. These animations aim to explain the meaning and application of universal values in daily life. The textbook is designed to enhance learning effectiveness and inclusivity for deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Each topic includes QR codes enabling access to sign language interpreter videos and additional educational resources and interactive exercises.

This approach ensures that deaf and hard-of-hearing students can better understand Moral Education teachings through animations that are closely aligned with their lived experiences. Furthermore, the digital textbook provides a more interactive learning experience, allowing students to learn at their own pace and easily review difficult topics. Despite challenges in content development and technological access, this textbook has strong potential to advance Moral Education towards greater inclusivity and competitiveness. With careful planning and execution, the digital textbook with QR codes and Aniclix animations can play a vital role in delivering quality, comprehensive education to all students, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
