In 2021, 27.4% of road traffic fatalities in Malaysia involved children under 18, with 18.4% linked to motorcycles, according to MIROS. To address this issue, we present the IoT Fingerprint Motorbike Starter with Alert System, designed to prevent unauthorized motorbike use by children. Using Arduino technology, a fingerprint sensor, NodeMCU, and an LCD display, the system ensures that only registered users can start the motorbike. Unauthorized attempts trigger immobilization and send real-time alerts to parents via Telegram. This enhances safety, offering parents control and peace of mind. The LCD provides live feedback, improving user interaction. This system supports UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting safer road practices, and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by improving urban safety. Our innovation represents a proactive step toward using IoT and biometric security to reduce youth-involved motorcycle accidents and create a safer, smarter transportation environment.
