Polystyrene foam (PS) poses a major threat to the ecosystem and takes years to disintegrate. We believe that by examining how superworm behave in different environments, we could find a way to harness it to disintegrate PS. We placed ten worms in 4 labeled beakers, A, B, C, and D. Beakers A and B without soil, meanwhile beakers C and D contain soil. Beaker A and C were exposed to sunlight, while Beaker B and D were in the dark. We will utilize superworm to help Malaysia better manage its plastic waste, making them useful.
