The E-SmartTag Project was developed to resolve recurring issues with the existing attendance system at Ipoh Vocational College, where students had to manually record attendance due to faulty card readers. By implementing RFID technology, the system now supports automated attendance tracking and cashless transactions within the college. Using hardware like Arduino Leonardo, RFID readers, and NodeMCU ESP8266, the project follows the Agile methodology and integrates user feedback via online surveys. The results show positive student reception and operational improvements. This innovation enhances digital transformation in education and demonstrates the potential of RFID to improve daily administrative processes efficiently.
