SmartForecast is an interactive rainfall forecasting dashboard developed using the R Shiny package. It models monthly rainfall in Subang, Malaysia, using data from 2014 to 2023 sourced from METMalaysia. The dashboard uses the SARIMA model, selected for its low RMSE and MAE, to produce accurate forecasts. It displays results through graphs, tables, and descriptive statistics, including skewness, kurtosis, and the Jarque-Bera test. SmartForecast makes complex forecasting accessible to policymakers, researchers, and the public. It promotes informed decision-making and supports sustainable environmental planning through a user-friendly and engaging interface.
