In our experiment titled "The Fizzy Reaction of Citric Acid and Baking Soda," we wanted to investigate the cool reaction that happens between these two everyday ingredients. We took one tablespoon of baking soda and mixed it with either lemon juice or a citric acid solution in a small container to see what would happen. Our aim was to watch the bubbling reaction and find out about the gas that was made. Right after we mixed the ingredients, we saw a lot of fizzing, which showed that carbon dioxide gas was being produced. This experiment helped us learn how acids and bases work together and proved our idea that bubbling happens when these substances are combined. We had a great time and learned a lot about chemical reactions, making our experience fun and educational.
