Abstract
The Smart Rover Toolbox is an innovative and sustainable storage solution developed using repurposed detergent gallon containers to address plastic waste while enhancing classroom functionality. This invention transforms discarded materials into a mobile, durable, and multi-purpose toolbox designed for storing students’ learning materials, tools, and personal items. Equipped with a simple mobility feature and organized compartments, the Smart Rover Toolbox promotes efficient storage, accessibility, and classroom management.
This innovation aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by encouraging the reuse of plastic waste and reducing dependence on new materials. It supports the principles of a circular economy by converting waste into a valuable and practical product. Additionally, the project contributes to SDG 13 (Climate Action) by minimizing environmental pollution and promoting eco-friendly practices among students and the school community.
Furthermore, the Smart Rover Toolbox supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) by serving as a hands-on learning tool that integrates sustainability into daily school activities. Students actively participate in the creation and use of the toolbox, fostering creativity, problem-solving skills, and environmental awareness. Overall, this innovation promotes sustainable living, responsible resource management, and a more organized and conducive learning environment.
