The Adjustable Welding Workpiece Holder is an innovative auxiliary tool designed to secure welding workpieces, such as plates and hollow sections, during the fabrication process. This invention addresses critical industry challenges, primarily the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) among welders caused by poor ergonomic posturing. Furthermore, conventional holders often feature fixed positions, offering limited adjustability and requiring manual assistance from a second person, which significantly increases operational downtime.

To resolve these issues, a multi-faceted engineering approach was adopted: developing a highly adjustable mechanism tailored to user requirements, conducting rigorous design analysis to optimize workpiece stability, and executing precision fabrication. The effectiveness of the prototype was evaluated based on its functional versatility and operational efficiency.

The primary objective of this research is to develop a workpiece holder that grants welders superior control over spatial adjustments, thereby enhancing ergonomic comfort and convenience. Ultimately, the Adjustable Welding Workpiece Holder empowers welders to achieve higher precision and improved productivity, setting a new standard for efficiency in welding workshops.
