YIN414: Smart Automatic Plant Watering System Using Micro:bit

CHONG LI YON SMK SULTAN YAHYA PETRA (1)

This project applies the concept of abstraction by focusing only on essential elements needed for an automatic plant watering system while ignoring unnecessary details. The system simplifies plant care into key components: soil moisture detection, decision-making, and water delivery. By using a soil moisture sensor, the Micro:bit identifies whether the soil is dry or wet based on a set threshold value. When the condition meets the requirement, the system activates a water pump to supply water. Complex factors such as plant type, weather conditions, and soil variation are not considered, allowing the system to remain simple, efficient, and suitable for basic smart gardening applications.
