Before this project was created , most households still use ordinary trash bins without separating waste . This causes wet waste such as foods leftovers to mix with recycleable materials like plastic , paper and cans . This situation makes the recycling process more difficult and increases environmental pollution . Therefore , Reclassify is created to make it easier for users to reduce pollution and support environmental sustainability efforts . Reclassify is an innovative trash bin product with separate compartment for wet waste and recycleable materials . Every garbage that is put on the garbage lid will automatically be classified by wet waste and recycleable materials. With this project , Reclassify hopes to reduce environmental pollution by increasing the rate of recycling and decreasing the amount of waste send to landfills .
