Academic integrity serves as the moral foundation of education, yet current assessments in the era of Generative AI are often affected by gender bias and lack empirical validity. To address this, AI-BIMS is introduced as a bias-free instrument designed to measure student integrity in AI-assisted contexts, particularly ChatGPT usage. Grounded in the ICAI framework, Cohen and Swerdlik’s model, Rasch analysis, and Theory of Planned Behavior, the instrument applies Gender Differential Item Functioning (GDIF) to eliminate bias. Findings confirm 24 valid, gender-neutral items. AI-BIMS offers a fair, reliable, and future-ready tool to support ethical development and data-driven interventions in modern classrooms.
