“From Aayah to Achievement — Building a Qur’an-Literate Generation.”

ABSTRACT

In contemporary Qur’anic education, the fundamental challenge is no longer access—but completion. Despite early exposure and widespread participation, a significant proportion of learners do not successfully complete all thirty Juz’, revealing a critical gap between engagement and achievement. This gap is not caused by lack of effort, but by the absence of structured tracking, progress visibility, and sustained motivational systems.

i-Khatam Tracker 2.0 is introduced as an Interactive Qur’an Progress Intelligence System that transforms recitation into a data-driven, structured, and completion-oriented journey. The system integrates real-time tracking by Surah, Ayah, and Juz’, alongside multi-cycle Khatam monitoring, enabling learners to visualise not only progress—but long-term spiritual achievement. The inclusion of audio-based Tasmiek submission further ensures authenticity, accountability, and personalised feedback, bridging the gap between student effort and teacher verification.

Grounded in behavioural learning theory and self-regulated learning frameworks, the system enhances intrinsic motivation through continuous feedback and visible progress (Bandura, 1986; Zimmerman, 2002). Empirical research supports that such visibility significantly improves learner engagement and outcomes (Hattie, 2009). Unlike conventional Qur’an applications that focus on content consumption, i-Khatam Tracker 2.0 redefines the objective—shifting from reading as activity to completion as achievement.

Validated through two years of real-world implementation in a school environment, the system demonstrates measurable impact in improving consistency, monitoring efficiency, and learner motivation . Its scalability and institutional applicability position it as a transformative solution for Qur’anic education globally.

Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Brunei Vision 2035, this innovation represents the convergence of technology and spirituality—empowering a generation not only to begin the Qur’an, but to complete it.

In a world where many start, but few finish—
i-Khatam Tracker 2.0 ensures that completion becomes a culture, not a coincidence.
