Virtual Booth

Sound Heroes is an innovative metaverse based learning tool designed for Year 1 beginner pupils to improve their spelling and reading skills. Many pupils face difficulties in recognising letters and sounds, often spell words incorrectly, have limited vocabulary, and show low confidence in using English. This project aims to enhance vocabulary understanding, improve correct word usage, and increase pupils’ motivation. The study involved Year 1 pupils using metaverse world games with interactive notes and gamified activities. Data were collected through pre-test, post-test, and questionnaires. Findings show improvement in spelling and reading, higher participation, and increased interest. The innovation promotes fun, independent learning and supports digital education.
