Weather variability often causes discomfort to individuals, especially when using conventional umbrellas that only provide basic protection against rain or sunlight without addressing thermal comfort. This limitation highlights the need for a more adaptive personal weather accessory that enhances user comfort in diverse environmental conditions. This project introduces an innovative concept of a smart, weather-adaptive umbrella designed to improve user comfort through intelligent temperature-responsive features. The primary objective of this innovation is to develop a multifunctional umbrella capable of adapting to both hot and cold weather conditions by integrating artificial intelligence (AI)-based ambient temperature detection with dual-mode thermal regulation. The umbrella operates in two modes: a cooling mode that releases fine water mist combined with a micro fan during hot conditions, and a warming mode that emits warm water vapor to provide comfort during cold or rainy weather. The mode selection is automatically controlled by an AI-driven temperature sensing system, ensuring optimal comfort without manual adjustment. The materials and methods involved include temperature sensors, a compact AI processing unit, a micro fan, a misting mechanism, and a water refill compartment integrated into the umbrella handle. A transparent refill section is incorporated to allow users to easily monitor water levels, enhancing usability and maintenance convenience. The novelty of this innovation lies in its dual thermal regulation capability and intelligent automatic mode switching, which differentiates it from conventional umbrellas and existing cooling accessories. In terms of usability, the smart umbrella is designed to be practical for daily use, suitable for various weather conditions, and user-friendly for individuals of all ages. From a commercial perspective, this innovation holds strong market potential due to its multifunctionality, relevance to climate variability, and growing demand for smart lifestyle products.
