Interest in Mathematics among primary school pupils is constantly declining as many of them perceive the subject is difficult and less engaging. Traditional teaching methods, which often rely on memorization and repetitive exercises, are commonly known to reduce students’ motivation to learn, especially in mastering multiplication tables (sifir). When they fail to comprehend or enjoy the learning process, the academic performance is unequivocally affected.
This project introduces an educational game focusing on improving pupils’ mastery of multiplication tables through a fun and interactive approach. The game incorporates elements of cipher (coded problem-solving), where players must solve mathematical questions in order to decode answers and progress to higher levels. By combining learning with gameplay, the project aims to make Mathematics more enjoyable and meaningful.
The game is accessible via a website, allowing easy access at anytime and anywhere. It is designed with simple instructions, engaging challenges, and interactive features to encourage continuous learning. Additionally, the platform encourages the students to practice multiplication skills while enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ultimately, this educational game provides an innovative and effective alternative to traditional learning methods. By integrating cipher-based challenges into Mathematics, the project helps increase students’ interest, improve their understanding of multiplication tables, and create a more engaging learning experience.
