YIN1281: PEEL PACK

DHARMINI A/P JAYANDARAN SMK ST. BERNADETTE’S CONVENT

This project explores the development of a sustainable “Peel Pack” system utilizing biodegradable materials derived from organic waste, particularly banana waste. The study investigates material properties such as tensile strength, water resistance, and decomposition rate to evaluate its feasibility as an eco-friendly packaging alternative. Experimental analysis demonstrates that the Peel Pack exhibits promising durability while maintaining rapid biodegradability under natural conditions. This innovation contributes to reducing plastic waste and promoting circular resource use. The project aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 13: Climate Action) by advancing sustainable materials and minimizing environmental impact.
