The MeCleaner Innovation Series, consisting of the Marian Robo Hand Wash, MECSoap, and MEHerbz Liquid Soap, is an eco-school initiative that seeks to transform waste into wellness by repurposing organic and natural resources into effective hygiene products. Designed within the context of environmental sustainability and educational innovation, the project embodies the principles of responsible consumption and production while simultaneously enhancing the health and well-being of the school community. Through the use of fruit-based bio-enzymes, soap nut extracts, and automated water-saving technology, the MeCleaner series not only provides practical solutions for hygiene but also reduces environmental impact by minimizing waste and lowering reliance on chemical-based products.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Climate Action), this project advances both health outcomes and ecological stewardship. Beyond its technical value, the MeCleaner series is also a holistic educational tool. It integrates moral, civic, and character-building elements as outlined in Malaysia’s DSKP curriculum from Year 1 to Year 6. Pupils are not only exposed to scientific inquiry and innovation but also nurtured in values such as discipline, empathy, honesty, respect for nature, and civic responsibility. In this sense, the project serves as a dual-purpose initiative: advancing eco-friendly hygiene solutions while cultivating ethical, civic-minded, and responsible citizens for the future.

The significance of the MeCleaner Innovation Series lies in its unique integration of environmental sustainability, scientific innovation, and value-based education. By framing waste as a resource and hygiene as a shared civic responsibility, it demonstrates how small-scale school projects can contribute to global agendas while shaping students into holistic learners. This paper presents the conceptual foundation, objectives, methodology, results, and educational integration of the MeCleaner project, showcasing its potential as a replicable model for schools in Malaysia and beyond.
