This project presents the development of the Taiping Tour Map App, an Android-based mobile application designed to enhance the tourist experience in Taiping, Perak. Developed using MIT App Inventor, the app leverages the Google Maps API and the Location Sensor component to provide real-time navigation to iconic landmarks such as Taiping Lake Gardens, Zoo Taiping, and the Maxwell Hill heritage trail. Key features include an interactive ListPicker for site selection, multimedia descriptions of historical locations, and proximity alerts. The results demonstrate a user-friendly, cost-effective digital solution for promoting local heritage and eco-tourism through block-based mobile programming.
