Agriculture plays a crucial role in ensuring food security, but maintaining healthy soil is a challenge for many farmers. One key issue is soil acidity, which can reduce crop yields and harm plant growth. Traditionally, farmers use dolomite powder to neutralize soil acidity, but spreading it manually is time-consuming, inconsistent, and physically demanding—especially under the scorching sun, which can lead to exhaustion and health risks. To address this, we have developed an Automated Dolomite Powder Spreader Robot—a user-friendly, efficient, and eco-friendly solution. This robot is designed to evenly distribute dolomite powder across farmland, reducing farmers’ workload and improving soil quality with greater precision. Unlike manual methods, our robot ensures even coverage, minimizes waste, and enhances productivity while protecting farmers from the physical strain of prolonged exposure to extreme weather. By integrating technology into farming, we aim to modernize traditional agricultural practices, making them more sustainable and accessible. Our innovation not only benefits farmers but also contributes to food production efficiency and environmental conservation.
