Abstract:

Digital transformation has become a critical driver of growth, efficiency, and competitiveness in the modern engineering sector. This project introduces AI-SEP (AI-Smart Engineering Platform), an integrated digital platform designed to enhance engineering service delivery, client engagement, and talent development within the context of sustainable infrastructure.

Prior to this project, the company operated without any web presence or digital platform, resulting in limited market visibility, inefficient communication with clients, and the absence of a structured system for recruitment and internship management. To address these challenges, the proposed platform integrates a comprehensive set of modules, including a corporate interface, a client interaction module, and a dedicated careers module supporting both job applications and internship placements.

A key innovation of AI-SEP is the integration of an AI-powered chatbot, which enables real-time communication and provides intelligent assistance to users in navigating engineering services. This functionality contributes to a decision support mechanism, allowing users to make informed preliminary decisions regarding service selection and engagement. The system is developed using the Agile methodology, ensuring flexibility, iterative enhancement, and alignment with user needs.

The platform aligns strongly with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) through digital innovation in engineering services, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by enhancing employment and career opportunities, and SDG 4 (Quality Education) by facilitating access to internship and industry-based learning.

A comparative analysis of local engineering firms confirms a significant gap in digital integration, which AI-SEP effectively addresses. Evaluation results indicate a high level of industry acceptance, with 96% positive feedback, demonstrating significant improvements in service visibility, communication efficiency, and recruitment processes. Overall, AI-SEP presents a scalable and sustainable solution that enhances operational performance, supports decision-making, and accelerates digital transformation in the engineering sector.
