Abstract:
Premature greying of hair among children is an emerging concern linked to factors such as nutritional deficiencies, oxidative stress, and environmental pollution. Many commercial hair care products contain synthetic chemicals that may be unsuitable for young users. This project introduces Grey Guard Jr., a safe, natural, and child-friendly herbal hair mask developed in powder form to support healthy scalp and hair care.

The formulation consists of six plant-based ingredients—amla, curry leaves, moringa, fenugreek, bhringraj, and hibiscus—carefully selected for their antioxidant properties and potential to support scalp nourishment and natural melanin activity. The herbs undergo a systematic preparation process including washing, shade-drying, grinding, sieving, and precise blending to produce a fine, stable powder with extended shelf life and convenient storage.

The key innovation of Grey Guard Jr. lies in transforming traditional herbal knowledge into a scientifically prepared, preservative-free, and portable formulation suitable for children. Although the product does not claim to reverse greying, it may help delay premature greying by nourishing the scalp and promoting healthier hair growth.

This project highlights safety, sustainability, and affordability, offering an eco-friendly and scalable natural alternative for early childhood hair care.
