This project explores the use of butterfly pea flower (Clitoria ternatea) extract as an organic pH indicator. The natural pigment anthocyanin is obtained through a simple water extraction method. The extract is tested with various acidic and alkaline solutions to observe color changes. In acidic conditions, the solution turns pinkish, while in alkaline conditions it shifts to greenish-blue tones. This natural indicator is safe, eco-friendly, and cost-effective compared to synthetic indicators. The study highlights its effectiveness for educational experiments and simple chemical analysis. Overall, butterfly pea flower extract demonstrates strong potential as a reliable natural pH indicator.
