The name of this project is Smart Waste Bin, which is developed to address the growing problem of improper waste management and the low rate of recycling in many communities. The purpose of this project is to improve waste segregation, reduce environmental pollution, and encourage sustainable waste disposal practices. Rapid population growth and increasing waste production have made traditional waste management systems less efficient, leading to overflowing bins, contamination of recyclable materials, and environmental degradation. Therefore, this project introduces an innovative smart bin that integrates modern technologies such as sensors, Internet of Things (IoT), and renewable energy sources to enhance waste management efficiency. The methodology of this project involves designing a smart waste bin equipped with automated waste segregation, fill-level monitoring sensors, and solar-powered systems to ensure continuous and efficient operation. The system can also send real-time notifications to optimize waste collection management. The results of this project show that the Smart Waste Bin can improve recycling practices by ensuring proper waste categorization and reducing contamination of recyclable materials. In conclusion, this project contributes to creating a cleaner environment, increasing public awareness of recycling, and supporting sustainable waste management for a healthier and greener community.
