ABSTRACT
This study presents an innovation titled AI-Powered Interactive Game for Syariah Education: Enhancing Students’ Understanding of Hajj Rituals, which integrates artificial intelligence and gamified learning to support the teaching of Hajj in the Syariah curriculum. The topic of Hajj involves complex concepts such as the pillars, obligations, and the sequence of rituals, which many students find difficult to master through conventional teaching methods. Consequently, this innovation aims to enhance students’ understanding and engagement through an AI-powered interactive educational game. The methodology involved the development of a gamified digital learning module integrated with artificial intelligence, followed by its implementation through a classroom-based intervention involving eight low-performing SPM Syariah students from Sekolah Menengah Agama (Atas) Sultan Zainal Abidin. The findings indicated noticeable improvements in students’ comprehension and participation during the learning process. The innovation also fosters a more engaging, interactive, and student-centered learning environment. Future improvements include expanding the module to other Fiqh topics and incorporating more immersive ritual simulations. In conclusion, this AI-powered gamified learning approach demonstrates strong potential in enhancing the effectiveness of Syariah education.
